Bio:

Dajun Tang received the B.S. degree from University of Science and Technology, Hefei, China, in 1981. M.S. from Institute of Acoustics,  Beijing, China, in 1985 and Ph.D. (in Oceanographic Engineering) from MIT/WHOI Joint Program in 1991. He has worked in Applied Ocean Physics /& Engineering Department of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as scientist from 1991 to 1996. Since then, he joined Applied Physics Laboratory of University of Washington in 1996,  and currently serves as Principal Scientist. His research interest includes shallow water acoustics (propagation and reverberation), sediment acoustics and geoacoustic inversion, acoustic scattering from underneath the arctic ice.
