Bio: Guanding Yu received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in communication engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is now an Associate Professor in the College of Information and Electronic Engineering. From 2013 to 2015, he has been also a Visiting Professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA. His research interests include energy-efficient wireless communication system design, device-to-device communications, and small cell technique. In the above areas, he has contributed over 100 refereed journal and conference papers. His publications have over 1300 citations and 20 h-index from the Google Scholar Citations.
He received the 2016 Exemplary Reviewer Award from the IEEE Transactions on Communications of the IEEE Communications Society. He serves as a guest editor of IEEE Communications Magazine special issue on Full-duplex Communications, an editor of IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications Series on Green Communications and Networking, and a leading guest editor of IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine special issue on LTE in Unlicensed Spectrum.
