报告内容:本讲座是一门MIT课程的浓缩版。本课程介绍在工程背景下实用工程计算和编程的基本原理,重点强调数据科学,具体包括工程计算基础、数据结构、大数据、数据分析技术、数据过滤技术、线性回归、机器学习(包括监督学习和非监督学习)、以及数据可视化技术。在应用层面,根据实际的工程问题需要,本讲座教导学生如何对相关的工程数据进行一系列数据提取、数据处理、数据分析、机器学习、和数据可视化处理。
专家介绍:Professor John Williams was recently named alongside Bill Gates and Larry Ellison as one of the 50 most powerful people for Computer Networks in the world.He is a MIT Professor of Information Engineering within the Engineering Systems Division and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also heads the Grid/Agent Computing Program at MIT, which develops distributed systems that simulate U.S. critical infrastructure.Most importantly, he serves as the Director for the MIT GDC (Auto-ID Lab, Geonumerics Group, Center for Grid Computing, and Intelligent Engineering Systems Lab).
Prof. Williams is internationally recognized in the field of computational algorithms for large-scale particle simulators and has authored two books and over 100 publications. For the past eight years, his research has focused on architecting of large scale distributed simulation systems. He teaches graduate courses on Modern Software Development and on Web System Architecting. His research interests are: Internet of Things Group; Intelligent Engineering Group; Software Architecture Group.
