专家介绍:

Richard DA SILVA is the general manager of APEX Technologies, the world leader company in the ultra high resolution optical spectrum analysis field. He thoroughly participated to the conception and the improvement of APEX Technologies equipment during the last 10 years. After his engineering study in Polytec Paris sud, he integrated APEX Technologies in 2007. After passing through different steps as R&D engineer and international technical support, he is now managing the company.

Zhenyu HAO entered Shandong University in 2003 and joined the international program between Shandong University and INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) of Rennes in France, and went to France for engineer diploma study in the year of 2004. After his graduation at INSA, he focused on his Ph.D at Foton Laboratory (CNRS UMR 6082), and got his Ph.D in physics in 2013. Zhenyu HAO joined APEX Technologies as Technical Support Engineer.

报告内容:

Fast development of bandwidth consuming services has stimulated the explosive growth of the telecommunication. Faster transponders that operate at 200 Gbit/s and 400 Gbit/s are becoming more and more commercially available. Many academic and industrial researchers are focusing on developing new robust and cost-effective architectures in order to increase the competiveness of coherent optical OFDM, CoWDM, super channel and WDM-PON systems. Unfortunately, standard grating based Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA), with its limited resolution bandwidth (RBW) of 0.02 nm/2.5 GHz, faces now great difficulties on these research domains. In this talk, a cutting-edge new technology  for achieving the highest resolution of 5 MHz/40 fm with commercial availability will be introduced by APEX. Thanks to this new technology, the enormous and detailed information offered by this solution will open the door to much more various possibilities of characterizations like laser sources, combs, modulation formats, sensor and components, ASE source…
